What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I will share my 15 years of experience working and directing full-phase projects across the Kazakhstan and Central Asia. In my most recent role, I was successful in providing financial and technical expertise to multiple projects in varying phases of development. As the member of the Global woman's network for the Energy Transition I can link with other energy woman experts. Share my experince in working with International donors because I have participated as national consultant in a several international projects related with sustainable energy development supported by the European Union.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. How to design small hydro power plant projects
  2. How to use GIS to identify risks of hydro projects
  3. Data analysis of the water flow of rivers

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

An international company that specializes in hydropower, including project design, construction and operation. I'm keen to further work with them to develop new hydropower plant projects in Kazakhstan, as Kazakhstan is a key driver of development in Central Asia's renewable energy market.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Curious
  2. Responsible
  3. Creative

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

This program will positively impact both my professional and personal journeys and growth. I am passionate about engaging in multicultural experiences, meeting new people and experts (in order to learn and develop), and will further enhance skills in analysis, presenting business cases and risk management, team work, flexibility, creativity, diplomacy, use of AutoCAD, and conducting survey works for new hydro power plants.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After successful completion of the TechWoman program, I will be able to leverage multiple positive influences upon the local community. My main goal is to be a role model for young girls, as a female professional in male-dominated fields of STEM, and I will provide lectures for younger generations looking to study STEM subjects through my volunteer work in collaboration with local universities. I will implement my gained expertise in my consultancy and engineering business and I will share gained knowledge with energy experts in Kazakhstan, in turn helping accomplish more renewable energy projects in the Central Asia region.
