What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

In terms of hard skills, I would like to share my expertise related to my research areas including social networks analysis and deep learning‐based decision support systems, as well as my teaching interests including machine and deep learning, software engineering and reengineering. In terms of soft skills, I would love to have the pleasure to share my managerial skills related to the organization of entrepreneurship competitions and my knowledge of Neuro-linguistic programming to communicate better, resolve conflict and help achieve desired results. My vision is continuously based on a commitment to the innovation for the sustainability and competitiveness of my school.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. How to manage an IT academic incubator as an innovation hub.
  2. Improve my leadership skills and build a strong network of experts and emerging leaders.
  3. Develop a social and intelligent blended learning platform in the pursuit of higher education.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

As an associate professor in computer science, I am continually challenging myself to step out of my academic comfort zone. Currently, I am an advisor of many entrepreneurial students and of ENACTUS, the Entrepreneurial Action US club. Other than those factors, exchange and openness are two key principles where my research works are the results of fruitful collaborations with national and international research teams from France, Norway and Spain. All these experiences are valuable in my job and help me build different skills that make me stronger and community minded.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Resourceful
  2. Open-minded
  3. Unshakeable

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

My mentoring experience will help me improve my entrepreneurial and leadership skills and unlock my business skills. This program will give me the opportunity to improve my management skills and help me reach my full potential in the technology industry. Moreover, thanks to this experience, I want to build a rich and solid network of professionals and meet experienced mentors and leaders, allowing me to be open to new skills, collaborations and opportunities that I can bring to my home country.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

To have an impact on my community and my country, I hope to share my mentoring experience with my students as well as my colleagues. In fact, I want to use the skills best equipped to help students create their own start-ups and strengthen their entrepreneurial skills. Moreover, I want to help university teachers become entrepreneurial mentors as well. I would like to organize workshops and bootcamps for students and others dedicated to teachers on several themes such as leadership, entrepreneurship, pitching, personal development, design thinking, etc. In particular, I aspire to inspire young girls to unlock their business potential in Informational Technology.
