What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution would be my unique perspective and insights into gender diversity in the tech sector of Kyrgyzstan. I can provide a deep understanding of the local dynamics, emerging trends and potential opportunities for collaboration. Additionally, I can share my expertise in areas such as go-to-market, B2B sales, project management, business development, and cross-cultural communication. Through my experiences, I can offer valuable knowledge on navigating challenges, fostering diversity and leveraging technology for social impact.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. How digital products are built in the U.S. tech companies.
  2. Management of engineering/technical teams.
  3. Data-driven decision making at big tech.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Have exposure to basic industry techniques
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

I have a strong interest in transitioning from Business Development to Product Management. My experience in business development has provided me with a solid foundation in understanding customer needs, market analysis and strategic planning. I am excited about the opportunity to apply these skills in a product management role, where I can contribute to the development and launch of innovative products. I am eager to learn more about product lifecycle management, user experience and driving product strategy. With my passion for technology and a customer-centric mindset, I would love to join the industry-leading tech company and learn from my mentor.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Driven
  2. Curious
  3. Disciplined

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope that collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor will have a transformative impact on my professional path. By working closely with a mentor, I want to gain valuable insights into industry best practices in the context of product management, go-to-market etc. Their guidance and expertise can help me expand my skill set, broaden my perspective and enhance my professional capabilities as well as pivot into product management roles in the future. I am sure that this collaboration has the potential to open new doors, accelerate my professional growth and contribute to long-term success in my chosen field.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

The main reason I'm applying for the TechWomen program is to build a connected and supportive community of women in tech. Despite the fact that women make up a large portion of the population in Kyrgyzstan, they are underrepresented in tech. In the U.S. closely working with mentors and representatives of different cultures and communities, I want to learn the best practices of addressing this imbalance and bringing them back to Kyrgyzstan.
