What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I am good at communications, project management, the best thing I enjoy and I think I am good at is to work on designs and concepts. I could contribute with creative idea, with building a roadmap for project realization and I am also a good at group works.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Geo data analysis techniques.
  2. Urban planning and parametric design tools.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

An ideal company for me to be mentored by is definitely one that deals with urban design and planning. This area of expertise can be broad from urban analysis to development of conceptual proposals, however, I would also love to do something experimental, such as a research study or testing a technology or methodology for understanding urban environments. For me it would be very crucial if the organization would be keen on achieving sustainable goals, as I would especially like to learn more about that. I enjoy creative collaborative environments and would be happy to be a part of a creative team, or a creative studio, maybe at a research or experimental lab. The size of the company or organization is not important as long as the project that I would be involved in would use software technology, within the urban studies field and potentially could help me extend my connections with the university and research lab in which I work. I work with 3d software, gis maps and conduct projects, I would be happy if the project that I would be engaged in would help me to enhance my technical skills and knowledge in these assets in order to learn new ones.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Consistent
  2. Reliable
  3. Curious

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I am pretty much still at the beginning of my career. And at the same time the field of urban planning and design is a relatively new field in my home country, therefore, it has become hard for me to see how can move further in pursuit of my professional goals. This is a reason why I want to be a part of the TechWomen mentorship program. I want this experience to help me see a structured and successful career path, define it and open up my network to see all the possibilities and potential the green tech industry has to offer. Through this program, I aim to understand how to develop the most out of my assets, especially from the ones of the least knowledge.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will foremost continue expanding the urban planning and design field through academia in my home country where I hope to be able to bring knowledgeable guest speakers, connect my new network with my students, aim to establish career consultations and perhaps internships. Also, within my professional field and the development of skills gained from the TechWomen program, I hope I will get new expertise and get to know people with new knowledge to provide me and therefore enhance my services that I give back to my students. Looking towards the future, I want to expand on themes of sustainability, sustainable urban planning and sustainable consulting within academia in my home country.
