What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I can make valuable contribution by sharing the knowledge I have been accumulated over 7 years of experience in consulting in the first Moroccan Group, participating in diverse projects like decision-making-tools. Additionally, I can provide insights and key lessens I learned through managing mentorship activities in the Mentor'Elles network for 3 years. This network promotes women empowerment through mentoring, networking and peer-to-peer learning among executives and managers, both men and women in Morocco. I can work for example on creating a comprehensive guiding document about mentoring that will serve future mentees and employee in the company. I can also share my personal development journey and how we can take small healthy steps each day to live our full potential. I have organized and assisted in numerous trainings. With my curiosity, positive energy and creativity, I believe, I can make good use to the service of my host company.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Participate in a "Disruptive Innovation" process especially "Ideation" & "User Empathy" parts.
  2. Immersion in tech company culture, team leadership, project management and public speaking.
  3. Usage of data analysis, operational research and machine learning for a better value creation.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

Being onsite or Hybrid is important for me as it allows me to fully immerse myself in an American tech company's culture. I would love to participate in a small project ideally related to innovation and ideation. I am open to exploring new sectors that are significantly different from what I do (industry, mining and consulting). I hope to be empowered to turn some of my crazy intentions into reality during and after this experience. Finally, I look forward to being inspired by the person you are and your values and I am eager to share with you all my passions, glories and failures with a beautiful smile.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Reliable
  2. Warrior
  3. Creative

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

This mentorship will assess my profile at an international level. In fact, I have never studied or worked abroad before, so the program will allow me to figure out what career options I can consider in the future as I am passionate to explore many opportunities. Additionally, the TechWomen mentorship will enables me to assess my strengths as well and areas of improvement. Also, I will gain insights into leadership and management from a life-experience standpoint and have a shift in paradigm and change my perception about entrepreneurship. For me "impact" and "financial resilience" are two conflicting objectives that I won't be able to converge if I am an entrepreneur, hence why I hope to gain new insights and perspectives about business and tech opportunities I haven't been able to explore quite yet.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

Implementing new ideas I will have during this experience that could have a huge impact in my home country and that I could not be exploring right now if it wasn't for the TechWomen program. I will explore idea and opportunities of launching a tech/data business after gaining valuable insights through my mentorship. Secondly, as the Head of the Mentoring Department at Mentor'Elles association, I aim to leverage the network I have developed through TechWomen to organize sharing sessions with other women and students through partner associations, such as the Inspiring girls & Jadara foundation. I also hope to explore partnership opportunities between USA and Morocco startups, companies, institutions and universities, such as the OCP Group and UM6P university. Lastly, I want to create innovations in mentorship experiences in Morocco and collaborate with my TechWomen network to launch new mentoring programs.
