What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

Given my experience in the pharmaceutical field, I can provide insights into the struggle's some professionals might face. Moreover, my contribution to the TechWomen mentorship would extend beyond my experience in this field, as a woman who comes from a different culture, especially one who aspires to make a positive change in her community, I have faced a lot of challenges. These experiences have strengthened my resilience and also fostered a deep empathy and understanding of the obstacles faced by women. By sharing my personal experiences and learnings, I aim to inspire and empower fellow TechWomen during the program.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Discover different company cultures.
  2. Be exposed to new tools such as AI.
  3. Develop networking skills.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

When I go back to Algeria, I plan on launching my own start-up. For this, I would like to learn more about business and project management, specifically on how to turn an idea into a start-up and make it successful. I aspire to learn the best ways to enhance my leadership, business-to-business and networking skills. I also hope to be exposed to interesting tools and platforms. To achieve these goals, my ideal industry would be one that offers mentorship in business management, focuses on start-ups and has a good leadership culture.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Curious
  2. Creative
  3. Tenacious

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Through participating in this mentorship, I am hoping to gain valuable insights, skills, guidance and support that would help me flourish on a personal and professional level. This experience will be an opportunity for me to discover and enhance my skills and knowledge while navigating challenges and work in a cross-cultural environment. More importantly, being a part of this program would be a great chance for me to expand my network and make meaningful connections that I would work on keeping after the program ends. Lastly, I hope to broaden my perspective and learn best practices to accelerate my professional growth.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

Volunteering has always been my way of impacting and empowering other people in my community. Being a member and alumna of many volunteer associations, I have the opportunity of being in direct contact with thousands of people of different ages, genders, regions and cultures. Upon completing the TechWomen program, I plan on using these platforms to become a TechWomen ambassador to share my experience and acquisitions with others. I will make sure to use the skills, knowledge and the network I will be building during the program to empower youth and especially women in my country to become makers of change.
