What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

During my work at my current organization, I was involved in rolling out a new procedure related to the management of change within our facilities. For this program, I can contribute to my team in this regard as I will be able to provide support if any new procedure needs to be implemented within the organization.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Implementation of database programs for current role (MOC).
  2. Learn additional processes for technical advancement in various industries.
  3. Develop public speaking skills.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

An ideal company for me is one that is highly developed in information technology and engineering database analysis. Company preferable with outside office facilities which could be visited where I can see the practice job implementation. I would love to be placed in the company with an improved document control management, i.e., trying to digitize and make less paper waste. I would like to visit meetings and sites held throughout the company and get more practice with the management system in ERP.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Assertive
  2. Reliable
  3. Organized

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

By being a part of this mentorship, I hope to improve my communication skills and leadership skills in order to further advance in my company. Learning technical skills in the form of database management will also allow me to improve my comprehension in document control and help improve technical systems within my organization.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After successful participation in the TechWomen program, my aim is to empower women in my small hometown of Hazar, TK to better advocate for their rights and to help them reach their full potential in the science and technology industries. I hope to create and maintain a sustainable professional social network as well to support of women in the STEM fields in Turkmenistan.
