What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I consider myself to be a person who takes initiative and is always willing to assist others, however, these qualities can be difficult at times. As a result, I'm looking forward to further developing my character and finding the best version of myself through this program in order to share what I've learned with other women around the world. I strongly believe that knowledge shared is knowledge squared.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. How to design an attractive learning environment for teaching mathematics involving technology.
  2. Involving what I will learn through the TechWomen program to change negative attitudes toward learning mathematics.
  3. Public speaking and team leadership skills.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

What makes me different from others is my perfectionistic tendencies and insistence on achieving my goals. I can explain these tendencies by recalling how I used to believe that my work was never good enough and that I needed to put in more effort in order to improve it. This mindset, on the other hand, can be described as imposter, which I find to be very negative as it frequently makes me unhappy. However, there are some benefits to this way of thinking, as imposter syndrome can lead to improved or continuous levels of performance as you always take assignments seriously and put effort into every last, definitive detail.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Reliable
  2. Serious
  3. Outgoing

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

The contribution that the TechWomen mentorship program will provide me will be a diverse network of connections to a wide range of international leaders and experts. These connections will motivate me to continue on my quest within the field of mathematical discipline. The program will overall assist me in developing a network of collaboration among specialists in the same sector of my interest, as well as introduce me to new methods and applications that I may utilize and implement as my career progresses.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

When I return to my own country, I plan to pass on my skills and knowledge to my fellow colleagues. I plan to create interactive games that supplement the e-learning experience within my classroom. In addition, I plan to pursue one of my ambitions of founding a mathematics club to greater encourage pupils to think creatively within math. Furthermore, as a teacher, I will endeavor to inspire my students to fulfill their own potential in the math field.
