What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

The main aspects of my background that have shaped my professional and extracurricular experiences that I think have significantly impacted my career path as well as my social behavior are, first, having paved my own way through my career path, navigated several obstacles and gained recognition through diligent and hard work. Secondly, I have stepped out my comfort zone, boosted my level of confidence and managed various leadership roles with respect to my leadership skills. And lastly, having demonstrated a sense of community through volunteering, supporting and mentoring the youth, I have greater courage to inspire, share, promote and expose my community.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Digital trust trends, challenges, impacts and benefits.
  2. How data privacy and AI models are developed and used.
  3. Public speaking and team leadership skills

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

I am a skilled IT professional, specialized in Information Security and IT Audit, with a focus on Banking Industry and Private Sector Businesses. Among the few things I would like my potential host company to know about me is that I have a profound knowledge of Information Security Management System and am familiar with IT Audit, IT Policies and IT Risk Management Processes. I also give priority to efficient and articulated level of communication, professionalism, ethics and integrity.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Honest
  2. Disciplined
  3. Compassionate

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Meeting bright women from U.S., connecting, interacting and creating bonds can be beneficial in every aspect of a women's life. I strongly believe that learning from others' experience and achievements can help to improve one's personal and professional skills, and also realign and adjust career paths. The opportunity to learn from others is paramount to be prepared for the many obstacles and turn them into profitable opportunities and sustainable initiatives. It is an invaluable opportunity to interact, learn and network, but most importantly be part of an elite group that chooses to make a difference and positively impact their community.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

The experience gained from the TechWomen program will allow me to gear up for the challenges ahead but also to reflect on my past mistakes and find the suitable solutions for me to have a sustainable career and entrepreneurial growth. This will give me new state-of-the-art ideas that can be implemented and benefit many females from my community.
