What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I love and take care of people and I always believed that we have to make an impact on society. I have been volunteering a lot in different areas, and I believe that my heart is working with women, moms, kids and special needs families. I have also used my position as a lecturer to help students grow academically and personally, by motivation and sharing experience. My main motivation is helping the community grow and seeing the hope where it seems impossible. My volunteering experience and the success stories can help contribute to such.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn how AI/ML can help create daily life applications for special need kids.
  2. Learn how to mentor others in different approaches to data analysis.
  3. Learn digital media usage and content creation for better marketing developement.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

The ideal mentor for me would be someone who really mentors me in every aspect professionally, but also helps me grow personally as a leader. The mentor should be family-oriented, compassionate, loving, considerate, and professional. Knowledge on special needs education or how to help the special needs community grow would be a bonus, as here in Korça there is not yet a structure that can help with it, and I would like to invest in this community. Related to the industry or the company, I have no special preference.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Reliable
  2. Caring
  3. Professional

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope to develop new skills on how to identify new leaders, mentor them and help them grow exponentially in my current town. Also, help them grow professionally by teaching them computer skills, which can help them find future jobs such as data analysis, digital media content creator, programming skills etc. Being part of this program will allow me to develop my networking skills and hopefully build bridges for future events or collaborations academically, professionally and socially. Hopefully, this will impact the university and the students' environment. I am a very hard working person, and always ready.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I have already discussed opening a mentorship program in my department at the current university to mentor students academically and personally, and I believe they will benefit a lot from it. I would also like to open student clubs that will help them get involved in extracurricular activities and show themselves as new leaders. I will also use the community in Crossroads Korça to expand some current activities, such as Ladies Night and kid's program, towards the development of leadership skills and the improvement of knowledge in computer skills. I also hope to develop new leaders in the villages nearby.
