What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I bring a unique blend of technical expertise, entrepreneurial experience and cultural insight from Algeria's emerging innovation scene. As the founder of a purpose-driven startup, I offer a fresh perspective on sustainable manufacturing and grassroots innovation. I aim to contribute actively to conversations around collaborative entrepreneurship and share my experience building communities and bridging engineering with business. My multidisciplinary mindset, storytelling skills and dedication to impact can enrich the TechWomen mentorship experience.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Understand how to design mentorship programs and how to be an effective mentor.
  2. Gain insight into innovation leadership and develop leadership for global expansion.
  3. Explore industrial tech business models and understand U.S. startup innovation culture.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor would work in a mid-sized or large tech-driven company with a focus on industrial innovation, sustainable manufacturing or digital transformation. A company with a collaborative and forward-thinking culture that supports social impact and entrepreneurship would be ideal. I value mentors with multidisciplinary experience who understand the intersection of business, engineering and technology, and who are passionate about empowering underrepresented voices in STEM. I seek a mentor with experience in entrepreneurial engineering, someone who understands how to transform technical ideas into viable business solutions, build innovation ecosystems and support engineers in launching startups.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Visionary
  2. Resourceful
  3. Purpose-driven

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

The mentorship will help me gain insights into scaling impact-driven startups, and explore how tech companies in the U.S. tackle business challenges. I aim to grow as a mentee, learning not only from the mentorship I receive but also how to become a great mentor myself. I want to understand how mentorship programs are structured and implemented within organizations so that I can design and launch a dedicated mentorship program at Jawsak. This experience will deepen my leadership, expose me to new practices in professional development and equip me with tools to build a strong support ecosystem for entrepreneurial engineers.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will share the knowledge, tools and leadership practices gained during TechWomen with the Jawsak community and local engineers. My goal is to establish tailored programs, mentorship circles and innovation hubs that empower entrepreneurial engineers in Algeria. "Circle" refers to focused sub-communities within Jawsak, such as J-Women, where members connect, share knowledge and grow through mentorship and collaboration. I will also advocate for sustainable industrial practices and foster cross-border partnerships, using the global TechWomen network to drive meaningful impact at home.
