What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I am highly communicative, a quick learner and bring over 12 years of experience in the banking sector. I can contribute by sharing real-life challenges, gaps, and nuances in risk and ESG processes at my bank, offering a unique perspective for comparison and discussion. With strong analytical thinking, I hope to collaborate with my mentor to design practical improvements for my organization. My dedication and strong work ethic will ensure that I meet expectations and respond actively throughout the mentorship, making the exchange process dynamic, results-oriented and mutually enriching.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Gain skills in ERM and sustainable finance in banking.
  2. How to leverage AI in risk management and sustainable finance.
  3. Increase skills related to leadership and conflict resolution.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

I am interested in a company focused on fintech, particularly in payments and BNPL services, with operations in multiple countries. My goal is to explore how sustainable finance is implemented both at the holding level and across its international branches. I am also keen to understand how risk management and ESG principles are integrated into corporate culture. Ideally, my mentor would be someone with deep expertise in risk management or with hands-on experience in implementing green finance initiatives and designing transition plans toward sustainability within a financial institution.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Curious
  2. Open-minded
  3. Fast learner

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

This 15-day mentorship will allow me to explore leading practices in sustainable finance, which I aim to adapt and implement at Alif Bank, where I manage ESG risk. In Tajikistan, this field is just emerging—local professionals often have only limited theoretical knowledge and little on practical experience. Direct exposure to how U.S. companies integrate ESG into their operations will provide invaluable insights. This mentorship will help me develop practical skills and apply them to strengthen ESG risk management and sustainability practices within Alif Bank.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I will work to motivate my young colleagues to pursue STEM fields and engage in social impact initiatives. Additionally, I will work on advancing sustainable finance across the bank by initiating the development of a transition plan, informed by the knowledge and best practices gained during the mentorship. This experience will help me inspire young professionals and embed sustainability principles into the bank's strategic and operational framework.
