Soukaina Ait Errami

What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship will be my ability to combine strong theoretical depth in data engineering with hands-on experience leading complex data projects. I bring a deep understanding of designing and managing end-to-end data pipelines, optimizing data architectures and turning data into actionable insights. Having worked across both academic research and industry, I've developed the ability to align rigorous technical thinking with real-world challenges. I look forward to contributing this dual perspective, rooted in both strategy and execution, while actively engaging in meaningful collaboration and cross-cultural exchange.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Deepen expertise in data engineering practices.
  2. Explore development and application of AI tools and models.
  3. Strengthen leadership and public speaking skills.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company meetings
  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a large-scale technology company where engineering excellence is embedded into the culture and product thinking is tightly coupled with system-design. I'm particularly drawn to environments that operate at global-scale, developing and maintaining high-throughput, real-time or batch data systems that demand precision, performance and reliability. I value organizations where cross-functional collaboration drives innovation and where infrastructure decisions are made with both the end-user and long-term scalability in mind. I would benefit most from a mentor who is technically insightful, involved in shaping complex architectures and open to sharing not just solutions, but the reasoning behind them.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Innovative
  2. Hard-working
  3. Growth-oriented

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope that beyond technical skills this mentorship will give me insight into the strategic thinking that goes into designing impactful products, how experienced teams approach a problem before writing a single line of code, what principles or standards they follow, and how long-term decisions are shaped from the start. I'm eager to understand the mindset behind technical and product choices and to learn how structure, clarity and purpose guide high-quality engineering. I also hope to strengthen my leadership and communication skills by observing how ideas are shared, decisions are made and teams collaborate in high-performance environments.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

The mentorship experience will help me improve the quality of my work and enhance the way I approach building impactful, well-designed products. I plan to share the insights and skills I gain with STEM students and young professionals through workshops and mentorship sessions. By sharing both technical practices and the mindset behind them, I hope to inspire others to aim for excellence, think strategically and embrace innovation. My goal is to contribute to a stronger tech ecosystem in my home country by fostering a culture of learning, collaboration and purpose-driven development.
