What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I hope to contribute to the TechWomen experience by sharing hands-on insights into building circular economy models in resource-constrained environments, navigating the challenges of early-stage innovation, and empowering women in STEM through authentic, experience-based mentorship. With a background in biotechnology, environmental engineering, and entrepreneurship, I bring a unique ability to connect science, sustainability, and community impact. My journey—marked by both successes and setbacks—has shaped a resilient, dynamic, and innovative spirit that I’m eager to share with others.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Improve public speaking and moderating skills.
  2. How to maximize the benefits and adaption of algae strain with different stress to target specific pathway.
  3. Eco-friendly extraction process process for plant based solution.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company meetings
  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor is a molecular biologist with an entrepreneurial mindset, dedicated to pioneering plant-based solutions for extracting high-value raw materials—driving innovation at the intersection of science, sustainability, and impact.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Enthusiastic
  2. Eager to learn
  3. Dynamic

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Having a mentor with a strong background in both biotechnology and entrepreneurship—especially one focused on developing sustainable and natural products—would be invaluable to my growth as both a researcher and an entrepreneur. I am currently working to scale my start-up, validate our technology and business models, and stay at the forefront of innovation by engaging with and sharing the latest trends in biotechnology.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I will leverage my mentorship experience by empowering my team through targeted capacity-building initiatives and sharing best practices in leadership, innovation and sustainability. I plan to establish a Green Innovation Hub focused on agri-biotech and climate-tech solutions, creating a collaborative space for young scientists, entrepreneurs and farmers. This hub will serve as a platform to scale sustainable technologies, support women in STEM and advance circular economy practices that address local agricultural and environmental challenges in Egypt.
