What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I bring a unique blend of engineering expertise, grassroots project experience and a deep commitment to sustainability and fairnesses. My work in water, WASH and renewable energy across eastern Africa has equipped me with valuable insights on implementing overarching, locally-driven solutions. I hope to contribute fresh perspectives on sustainable development, facilitate meaningful cross-cultural exchange and share stories from the field that inspire innovation and empathy. I'm also eager to collaborate, learn from others and build lasting connections that drive collective impact.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. How to scale sustainable water and energy solutions.
  2. Growing data-informed leadership skills in sustainability.
  3. Strategies for advocating for women in STEM.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a mid-to-large-sized company or organization focused on sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy or water innovation. I value a mentor with experience in managing impact-driven projects, particularly in underserved communities, and who embraces data-driven decision-making. A collaborative and mission-oriented culture is important to me, especially one that supports women and community engagement. I hope to learn from a mentor who values cross-sector partnerships and is committed to using technology to drive environmental and social change.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Analytical
  2. Resilient
  3. Collaborative

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope the 15-day mentorship will deepen my skills in leading data-driven, community-centered water and renewable energy projects. By collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor, I aim to gain fresh insights into sustainable innovation, project scaling and strategic partnerships. This experience will expose me to new tools and global best practices, helping me refine my leadership approach and expand Circular Insights' impact. I also look forward to exploring pathways for cross-border collaboration, especially in empowering African women in STEM and driving collaborative, tech-enabled solutions to environmental challenges.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After TechWomen, I will apply the mentorship insights to enhance Circular Insights' programs, integrating global best practices into local water, WASH and renewable energy solutions. I will lead capacity-building initiatives, mentor young women in STEM and encourage data-driven, community-led projects that improve access to clean water and energy. Additionally, I plan to create partnerships between local innovators and global networks to scale sustainable solutions across eastern Africa. By sharing knowledge and tools gained during the program, I aim to amplify African voices and catalyze lasting environmental impact.
