What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I hope to bring my communication skills, life experiences and love for community-driven work to this mentorship. I've led projects in areas like education, healthcare and tech, and I've learned how to combine technical work with empathy and leadership. I enjoy connecting with people, asking meaningful questions and creating space for open, honest conversations. The challenges I've faced have shaped how I show up, with humility, strength and a desire to uplift others. I'm excited to contribute to this exchange by sharing what I know and learning just as much in return.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Become a strong and sharp-spoken person, both in public speaking and team leadership.
  2. Explore how to use data science management tools.
  3. Manage people and learn how to say no positively.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company-wide meetings and/or team meetings
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a dynamic, innovation-driven tech organization, ideally mid to large in size, focused on data science, digital transformation or expansive impact. I'm drawn to collaborative cultures that foster leadership, open communication and mentorship, especially for women in STEM. I value companies that prioritize the use of data, community engagement and continuous learning. I hope to be matched with a mentor who is experienced in managing cross-cultural teams, driving product or project strategy and balancing technical depth with strong interpersonal leadership. A mentor who values empathy, resilience and personal growth would be a perfect fit.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Empathetic
  2. Resilient
  3. Innovative

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope this 15-day mentorship helps me grow into a stronger leader and communicator. I want to learn how to manage people better, lead with confidence and handle tough situations while staying true to my values. By learning from someone who has walked this path before, I hope to get real advice on how to grow my career, build meaningful connections and stay grounded while doing work that matters. I'm especially excited to learn how to say "no" positively, lead teams with clarity and become a better version of myself.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After TechWomen, I plan to pay it forward by mentoring young women and girls in technology and leadership. I will organize workshops and focus groups to share what I've learned, particularly in areas such as communication, confidence and project management. I also want to speak at local events and host community sessions to inspire others to pursue careers in technology. My goal is to create safe spaces where women can grow, lead and believe in themselves. This experience won't just change me, it will help me spark change in others and build a stronger, more open tech community in Rwanda.
