What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I hope my most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship experience will be my multidisciplinary expertise in full-stack development, combined with my practical experience working across diverse international teams and challenging environments. I bring a unique perspective shaped by Libya’s complex social and environmental landscape, which fuels my passion for sustainable tech solutions. I am eager to share insights on agile development, cross-cultural collaboration and applying technology to address real-world challenges—fostering mutual learning and enriching the exchange through a global, impact-driven mindset.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Explore effective industrial cleaning techniques such as sodium bicarbonate blasting and hydrogel pigging.
  2. Learn strategies for designing sustainable, climate-resilient agricultural systems for North Africa.
  3. Drive and expand green tech initiatives that uplift local communities.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a mid- to large-sized company or a research-driven organization focused on sustainable agriculture, climate technology or environmental AI. I value a culture of collaboration and purpose-driven innovation. Ideally, they have experience applying emerging technologies like AI or IoT to real-world agricultural or environmental challenges, particularly in climate-vulnerable regions that may not yet have access to these technologies. A mentor who embraces knowledge-sharing, systems thinking and impact-driven leadership.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Fast learner
  2. Friendly
  3. Negotiator

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Right now, I'm focused on learning AI—how to work with it and how to implement it into systems to revolutionize user experience. I'm also actively looking for a new remote role as a software engineer. The 15-day mentorship will provide hands-on exposure to cutting-edge practices in green technology and AI for sustainable agriculture. By learning directly from experts in a U.S.-based innovation environment, I hope to strengthen my technical and leadership skills, which will help me create meaningful impact in Libya.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After TechWomen, I will apply the knowledge and skills gained to develop AI-driven, sustainable agriculture solutions tailored to Libya’s arid climate and post-conflict challenges. I plan to lead local projects that promote climate-smart farming, water efficiency and community empowerment. By sharing best practices and fostering collaboration among Libyan tech professionals, farmers and policymakers, I aim to build a network dedicated to advancing green technology in the region. This mentorship will enable me to become a catalyst for innovation and environmental resilience, driving positive social and economic change in my country.
