What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I bring a multidisciplinary approach to pharmaceutical research, integrating medicinal chemistry, phytochemistry and metabolomics to advance drug discovery from medicinal plants. My experience in validating traditional medicines and mentoring women in STEM allows me to contribute valuable insights into Africa's healthcare challenges. Through collaboration, I aim to share expertise in natural product chemistry while fostering discussions on research sustainability, international partnerships and funding opportunities. I look forward to exchanging knowledge, bridging industry and academia, and collaborating on innovative solutions that drive impactful advancements in global health.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Build global research collaborations in biotech.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor match would be a professional from a pharmaceutical company specializing in drug development, quality control or herbal medicine innovation. The company should have a strong research and development unit focused on discovering new therapeutics, optimizing formulations and standardizing herbal medicines. A small to mid-sized organization with a collaborative culture would be ideal, providing hands-on exposure to industry standards and technological advancements. I seek mentorship in navigating drug production processes and advancing pharmaceutical research to strengthen my expertise.

  2. Analytical
  3. Curious

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope this mentorship will expose me to cutting-edge pharmaceutical research and industry best practices, enhancing my expertise in drug discovery, quality control and formulation optimization. It will provide opportunities to connect with potential collaborators, refine leadership strategies and strengthen my communication skills to effectively articulate my research. By engaging with experts in pharmaceutical development, I aim to gain insights into navigating global collaborations and expanding my professional network. Ultimately, this experience will equip me with innovative approaches to tackling malaria and cancer, contributing to impactful advancements in healthcare and medicinal chemistry.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After the TechWomen program, I will leverage my leadership and technical skills to advance pharmaceutical research in Cameroon. I aim to mentor more women in STEM, fostering openness and innovation in medicinal chemistry. By applying learned strategies, I will optimize traditional medicine formulations and contribute to malaria and cancer research. Additionally, I will establish international collaborations, securing funding and knowledge-sharing opportunities to drive impactful health solutions. Through policy advocacy and capacity-building initiatives, I will support the growth of local pharmaceutical industries, ensuring better access to high-quality, locally developed medicines.
