What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I hope to contribute a global perspective shaped by my experience working in both the Palestinian and German markets. Sharing my journey from civil engineering to tech—including roles as a teaching assistant and software developer—equips me with a unique view on adaptability, growth and bridging disciplines. I look forward to offering insights on career shifting, mentoring and building tech solutions with real impact. Through this experience, I aim to foster meaningful, nurturing and impactful relationships with like-minded leaders and mentors, and to build connections that embrace variety and promote mutual support within the TechWomen community.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Explore geospatial data handling and GIS products end-to-end design
  2. Build skills by learning about business process workflows automation and optimization with modern tools
  3. Learn about product management roadmaps and user-centered design, as well as product strategies from concept to delivery

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a mid- to large-sized tech-driven company that is focused on digital transformation, digital learning or geospatial solutions. Their main focus would be on the intersection of product, engineering and strategy, with a strong emphasis on user-centered design and impactful innovation. An ideal host company values a collaborative culture where mentorship, continuous learning and knowledge sharing are encouraged. My ideal mentor would be experienced in product development, business tech consultancy or GIS platforms. They might be someone who transitioned between technical and strategic roles— this, in particular, would offer invaluable insights as I grow into a product leader driving change and innovation.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Meticulous
  2. Dependable
  3. Diligent

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Through this mentorship, I hope to gain guidance that enhances both my existing skills and helps me develop new ones, particularly in product leadership and digital transformation. I look forward to exchanging knowledge, building meaningful connections and gaining insight into the American and global tech landscape and ecosystem, which will complement my experience in the EU and Palestinian Territories markets. Observing new tools, techniques and work cultures will broaden my perspective and strengthen my ability to drive innovation. This experience will support my long-term goal of becoming a product leader delivering wide-reaching, tech-driven solutions in emerging markets.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I will leverage the mentorship experience to build a supportive community for Palestinian women in tech and entrepreneurship while continuing to support the broader TechWomen network. I aim to launch structured mentorship and skill-sharing sessions that guide women transitioning into tech. By sharing the insights, tools and leadership strategies I gain, I will help others turn ideas into real world solutions. This initiative will foster collaboration, highlight women-led innovation, and grow the tech ecosystem in the Palestinian Territories, while shedding light on how varied backgrounds can uniquely contribute to technology and comprehensive progress.
