What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship experience will be sharing my deep expertise in cybersecurity engineering and infrastructure design, along with insights from working in an emerging tech environment. I bring a practical, solutions-driven mindset and a passion for creating scalable systems that enable broad participation. By contributing technical knowledge, strategic planning skills and a perspective shaped by regional challenges, I hope to foster meaningful collaboration, inspire innovative approaches and help build strong ecosystems that empower talent globally.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn advanced SOC operations and automation.
  2. Learn incident response and digital forensics techniques.
  3. Gain leadership strategies for cybersecurity advocacy.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a mid- to large-scale cybersecurity-focused organization, such as a tech firm, cybersecurity consultancy or critical infrastructure provider. The company should emphasize innovation and continuous learning, with a collaborative culture. I seek a mentor experienced in building or leading security operations centers (SOCs), handling threat detection and incident response or conducting digital forensics. Ideally, they are also involved in strategic decision-making or policy advocacy. I value a mentor who is passionate about empowering women in tech, open to sharing real-world challenges and committed to fostering growth through hands-on guidance and constructive feedback.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Dedicated
  2. Innovative
  3. Resilient

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

The 15-day mentorship with a U.S.-based mentor will provide me with direct exposure to advanced cybersecurity practices, particularly in SOC operations, threat detection and digital forensics. By learning from industry leaders, I aim to refine my technical skills, gain insights into effective incident response strategies and understand how mature organizations build resilient security cultures. This experience will also help me strengthen my leadership capabilities, explore innovative solutions and build a global network—all of which are essential to achieving my goal of establishing a world-class cybersecurity organization and advocating for stronger cyber policy in Libya.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After TechWomen, I will leverage my mentorship experience to design and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity infrastructure that provides access to learning resources and practical opportunities for all. By creating a scalable platform and community, I will ensure that aspiring professionals can engage with real-world projects and mentorship without barriers. This approach will build capacity across my home country's tech ecosystem and foster growth in cybersecurity talent.
