What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

I bring a unique combination of expertise in road safety and understanding of Kazakhstan's road and mobility challenges, combined with strong determination to develop IT solutions that address these issues. My ability to turn complex problems into actionable solutions can contribute to innovative problem-solving discussions. I am committed to empowering women in a male-dominated industry. Transport and road safety are often overlooked in STEM fields, and my participation in TechWomen highlights that this industry is indeed STEM. I look forward to sharing my experience and learning with mentors and peers.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Scalable IT safety solutions for transport, mobility and road systems
  2. Leadership in tech product management within mobility, transport and road sectors
  3. Build a strong community of women in the road and transport industry

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Have exposure to basic industry techniques
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor works in a leading innovative transport and mobility company within the safety and sustainable transportation solutions department. She is a researcher and practitioner who transforms data and knowledge into practical, scalable safety solutions. She deeply understands the road transport industry and its technical challenges, able to explain complex phenomena-such as how changes in road surface affect vehicle control - and the rationale behind her road and transport mobility safety IT-solutions. She fosters a collaborative, innovative culture and encourages curiosity and strategic thinking in developing impactful transport, road and mobility safety technologies and solutions.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Innovative
  2. Dedicated
  3. Insightful

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I hope the 15-day mentorship with a U.S.-based mentor will provide me with hands-on insights into innovative safety technologies and scalable IT solutions in the transport, road and mobility sector. Learning from an expert will help me develop advanced skills in product management and data-driven design of transport, road and mobility safety solutions. This experience will expand my knowledge and professional network, open doors to new opportunities and inspire me to create and lead impactful projects in Kazakhstan. The mentorship will accelerate my growth as a tech leader dedicated to creating safer and sustainable road and mobility transport systems and solutions.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After TechWomen, I will develop IT solutions to make transportation in Kazakhstan safer and more sustainable, reducing road fatalities. As a Vision Zero educator for youth, government and communities, I plan to integrate new knowledge from TechWomen into my teaching materials, raising awareness about innovations in transport road safety. I also aim to build and support a women's community in Kazakhstan's road and transport sector. By sharing my TechWomen experience through meetings at transport universities, I want to inspire young women to pursue and grow their careers in this field instead of leaving it after graduation.
