TechWomen update: Gallery event, application deadline and delegations trips

At IIE, the office is abuzz with preparation for our photo gallery fundraising event and upcoming delegation trips. Here’s an update from the team in San Francisco.

January 21 – TechWomen: Impact through Imagery

For the first time, TechWomen is hosting a photo gallery event! TechWomen: Impact through Imagery will provide a glimpse of TechWomen’s impact, not only on the fellows who have completed the TechWomen program, but on the people and the communities that the fellows are impacting through their action plans and initiatives. We hope you will join us for an enlightening evening. 100% of donations will support the 2016 TechWomen seed grants.

February 1 – 2016 TechWomen application deadline

Applications for the 2016 program are rolling in, and we’re so excited! Many women decide to apply after hearing about the life-changing experience directly from our fellows. After completing the San Francisco/Silicon Valley portion of their TechWomen journey, fellows help support the next group of emerging leaders to take the leap. Special thanks to all those super stars who are spreading the word. Anyone passionate about our vision can spread the word about TechWomen in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East. February – March – Delegation trips

The dates are set, and planning is underway. Our first stop: Jordan, February 6-13. We’re looking forward to visiting and reconnecting with fellows, while we turn our focus to empowering and supporting girls in STEM. The in-country programming will focus on encouraging and inspiring young women and girls, particularly by connecting with secondary school students and university-aged women in meaningful ways. Following Jordan, we’ll head to Zimbabwe, February 20-27, and Kazakhstan, March 12-19.

Stay tuned to TechWomen on our blog, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for more coverage from the program.
