For the third and final delegation trip of the year, the TechWomen delegation of mentors, fellows and staff representing five countries united in Kazakhstan last week. With 42 women participating in the delegation from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Uzbekistan and the United States, the group was the largest delegation in TechWomen history. The delegation kicked off on March 13 with an introduction to the country and tour of central and southern Almaty.
In 2015, TechWomen expanded to Central Asia to include 21 women from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Four women – Darya Alontseva, Aizhan Bizhanova, Lina Lebedeva and Diana Tsoy – from Kazakhstan participated in 2015.
