What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
My mentorship will help me develop my ability to motivate and encourage other people. I will become a better manager, employee and team member. By working with someone with different experiences and background, I can gain a fresh perspective and learn new ways of thinking, which can help in my work life as well as my personal life.
What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?
My current work experience includes innovation in many areas, including strategies for more effective teamwork. At my current company, I devise strategies for improving teamwork and communication among members of team projects. I can bring not only my ideas from my current job but my general passion for innovation to my host company. I can also provide the company with ideas and experience that I use in my country. Communication and meeting deadlines are two areas of strength that I feel will benefit my host company. I will take advantage of every opportunity.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
Our town is very small and we have many unemployed people. Most of the women are not working and because of this they can not develop themselves. After coming back to my home country after my participation in the TechWomen program, I will try to use all the experiences gained in this program to teach students, and especially women, something new and show new technologies in practice. I want create an organization that supports the teaching of science in educational institutions across the Khorog, Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous region of Tajikistan. The main goal for me is to transform the way science is currently taught (through books and theories) to using more practical exercises and projects. For example, students may be asked to come up with different projects to solve local problems and submit their ideas in a competition. My hope is that this will foster a love for science and teach students that science can be used to change and solve local and global problems.
