What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

My mentorship with TechWomen will impact me as a researcher and a manager alike, as it brings together experts from a range of sectors over the world for a program that will enhance my leadership, entrepreneurial and communication skills. I will bring an entrepreneurial spirit to my workplace, where my newfound leadership and communication skills will make me a better manager and a more organized and effective educator. My enhanced technical expertise in materials science and clean technology will impact my research, as well as my teaching and supervision of masters theses. I hope that the cumulative effect will be inspiring girls in Kazakhstan to choose STEM professions.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will be able to pay forward my TechWomen experience through teaching and research, which supports the development and delivery of educational programs, specific courses oriented toward novel technologies, innovative teaching methods, and partnership with industry. All of this has an impact on student motivation in learning and research. Additionally, I will organize workshops to share international best practices with young researchers and women scientists. Out of this will extend a knowledge exchange network for young potential researches, through which I can consult on research and advise on experimental design. I will pass on my experience with TechWomen through sharing progressive technologies with students and supporting their research initiatives, and promote the program among my network online and through social media.
