What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship stems from my dedication to ongoing learning, proactive problem-solving and leadership experience. With a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, I bring expertise in addressing complex challenges and fostering inclusive work environments. My background in telecommunications, recent marketing skills and international experience provide unique insights into cross-cultural collaboration. I am passionate about helping others and contributing positively to my mentor's and their colleagues' work environment and making meaningful, lasting connections, eager to both share my knowledge and learn from my mentor's insights, while promoting a culture of positive change.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Gain insight into career advancement strategies for women in the tech sector, exploring diverse career paths and acquiring practical experience.
  2. Enhance my analytical capabilities through advanced data analytics techniques and visualization tools.
  3. Develop mentorship and networking skills, both in receiving and providing guidance, to build meaningful professional relationships.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor match would be from a leading technology company that emphasizes innovation and data-driven decision-making. The company should be offering a dynamic and collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and cross-cultural communication and collaboration. Ideally, the mentor would be from an organization that prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a culture of continuous learning and mentorship and would provide exposure to cutting-edge industry practices and expansion of professional network. The company should have a strong focus on cutting-edge technology, data analytics, and customer-centric strategies, providing me with exposure to advanced tools and methodologies in my field.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Versatile
  2. Collaborative
  3. Resourceful

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I anticipate that collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor will offer invaluable insights, broaden my perspectives, and enhance my skill set. This will also provide me with valuable exposure to diverse work environments, cultures, and cutting-edge technologies which will enrich my understanding of best practices in the tech industry. By leveraging this partnership, I aim to strengthen my expertise, develop and expand my network of passionate professionals and have the chance to collaborate, exchange knowledge and explore new opportunities. Ultimately, I envision this collaboration advancing my career and guiding me towards achieving my professional aspirations with confidence and proficiency.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I plan to leverage my experience to make a significant impact in my home country by sharing the knowledge and skills I acquired with women in STEM within my community. I intend to collaborate with colleagues, peers and TechWomen alumnae on projects that address local challenges and to organize workshops and mentorship programs to empower young women, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion. Additionally, I will use my enhanced network and insights to implement data-driven strategies in my professional field, driving technological advancements and contributing to the growth and development of my community.
