The vast experience I have across the food value chain arms me with valuable in-depth insight/ information; Which I will share with my host company to enhance their global appreciation (from an African and Zimbabwean perspective) of other markets , which information they can use to identify exploitable gaps that can be of interest to them.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Technological innovations to commercializing Nutritious Food Products
  2. Blockchain technology and its use in food value chain
  3. Product to Market Interface platforms (B2B,B2C)

The ideal company for my mentorship placement is a medium to large sized cooperate Value chain player in the agro processing sector who has implemented technological solutions to address food security concerns such as nutrition and health, Food safety and traceability, food processing and packaging innovations, product supply and market interface platforms.

Additional Technical Skills

Implementing and using ERP systems :SAGE X3 and SAP Business. In my career history I was the lead contact person in setting up manufacturing, procurement and distribution modules for ERP systems.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

This mentorship program will help me refine my focus as I seek to embrace technological developments that will enhance my contribution impact in food security matters. While i have exercised myself in a variety of aspects i believe this mentorship program will help me concentrate my focus and embrace new technological skill relevant for impact in a digitalized era.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen I will use my participation in national forums such as the National Scaling Up Nutrition Council and Manpower Advisory Council to share and influence others to adopt valuable lessons learnt during the exchange program. I will also adopt lessons learnt in structuring and executing any projects that I will be involved with.
