What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
I foresee the Techwomen mentorship will help benefit my professional future in many ways. In being a mentee, I will also learn how to be a better mentor to others. Additionally, having the opportunity to have a hands-on experience at a Silicon Valley company is a great way to learn how to create and maintain an environment conducive to creativity. Needless to say, the technical skills and knowledge I gain will accelerate my professional growth, too.
What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?
My past and current employers have praised my ability to work well, both in teams and solo. I will bring the same qualities to my time at my host company’s office. Beyond that, as part of my participation in the Techwomen program, I am exploring two AI-related ideas that can help further enhance the visibility of my host company's products and services.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
I will use my Techowmen experience to make an impact in two ways. The Technovation Challenge, the global technology entrepreneurship program for girls, has been successfully running in Uzbekistan for three years but so far it has covered only four regions out of twelve. I will help expand it to the other regions, starting with my home province of Namangan. I will organize monthly meetups with girls where we will discuss challenges in our country and how we can address them through technology. In addition, one of my longer-term goals is to launch my own startup in healthcare industry in Uzbekistan.
