What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship will be my expertise in data science and my experience in education and mentorship. With a strong background in AI, and data exploration, I can offer fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to data analysis. My experience as a part-time lecturer and mentor through the She Is Data initiative equips me with effective teaching skills, enabling me to share knowledge clearly and inspire others. Additionally, my involvement in community initiatives to empower young women in tech can bring valuable insights into promoting diversity and inclusion within the mentor's organization.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Best practices in developing models and data presentation from the models
  2. Harvesting and manipulating data from IoT devices (e.g., tracking devices)
  3. Confidence in public speaking and mentorship

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company-wide meetings and/or team meetings
  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor match is a leader in a dynamic tech company leveraging data science and AI, such as a mid-sized firm focused on innovative solutions in sectors like healthcare, finance or telematics. The company values collaboration, continuous learning and diversity, fostering a culture of inclusivity and growth. It emphasizes cutting-edge research, real-world applications and community engagement, providing a supportive environment for professional development and impactful work.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Thorough
  2. Reliable
  3. Collaborative

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor will significantly impact my career by exposing me to advanced data science practices and cutting-edge technologies. I hope to gain deeper insights into industry trends and innovative methodologies, enhancing my technical skills and strategic thinking. This mentorship will provide me with a global perspective, helping me to integrate best practices and diverse approaches into my work at O'Track Global and my She Is Data initiative. The collaboration will also expand my professional network, opening doors to new opportunities and collaborations, ultimately accelerating my growth and positioning me as a leading figure in the data community.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I will leverage my experience to drive innovation and excellence in data science within my home country. I plan to implement advanced practices learned from the program at O'Track Global, enhancing our telemetry solutions. At Deep Analytics and through the She Is Data initiative, I will empower more women and girls to pursue tech careers, using insights gained to improve our mentorship programs. Additionally, I will share my knowledge as a lecturer, enriching the curriculum with global perspectives and fostering a generation of skilled data scientists who can contribute to national and international projects.
