What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
TechWomen can grant me access to the resources, skills and people that can help me learn the essentials of structuring and scaling a product. It will help me learn how research is conducted with new and useful technologies, how to take a technical innovative idea and make it commercially viable, and how to structure a concept financially and secure funding and financing. The TechWomen program can also help me to gain knowledge in design, analysis and management tools to assist me in creating products that can actually bring changes to the environment and people's lives.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
In Pakistan, the air quality in major cities usually worsens during the winter, as weather changes causes pollutants to be trapped in the air longer, resulting in shortened human life. My idea is to develop a self-sustaining anti-smog system (a combination of renewable energy resources, air handling units and air filtration) to control pollution. The same approach with advanced filtering techniques can be used to control the spread of communicable diseases.
