What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

With over 18 years of dedicated work in hydrology and integrated water resource management, I can bring a deep understanding of complex concepts and practical solutions to the table. I have the ability to effectively communicate these ideas to diverse audiences, both professional and non-professional, facilitating knowledge transfer and community engagement. I see my ability to organize events and think creatively as some of my best skills. I've demonstrated these skills in my experience planning events like regional workshops, trainings and hackathons.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn advanced project management skills.
  2. Develop networking skills for professional growth.
  3. Learn how to use AI tools in water monitoring and management.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Attend company-wide meetings and/or team meetings
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Exposes me to new tools and platforms

Ideal Company Type

I am deeply passionate about my work. My dedication to sustainability and innovation drives my work ethic, and I am eager to learn and grow under the guidance of a mentor who shares these values. I believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and fostering meaningful relationships. I'm eager to not only learn from my mentor's professional expertise but also gain insights into how to approach life with authenticity, integrity and a sense of purpose.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Collaborative
  2. Passionate
  3. Comprehensive

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

As a water specialist, collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor will offer me a unique opportunity to look at the complexities of water management and conservation and be introduced to innovative practices and approaches employed in the United States. By leveraging my mentor's knowledge and expertise, I aim to enhance my technical skills and expand my professional network. Additionally, I anticipate gaining valuable insights into how water issues relate to society, the economy and politics. I believe this collaboration will advance my career and enable me to play a significant role in water management at home.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

To manage water resources effectively, a long-term vision, prioritization and sometimes, tough decisions, are necessary. Participating in the TechWomen program will reinforce my country's institutional capacity and support my younger colleagues to develop themselves and strengthen their self-confidence so that they can be change agents. I would also like to leverage my TechWomen network to cultivate meaningful relationships with experts and organizations in the United States. These connections hold the potential to foster collaboration and partnerships that not only benefit my institution but also contribute to the broader advancement of water management practices in my country.
