Ideal Company Type

My background qualification and experience are not in technology however my social enterprise dominantly drives technology training for rural teachers, students and communities. I would like to be placed in a company that equip me with skills around computer science and information technology. I would also like a company that has technology gadgets as we introduce the gadgets in the schools and communities. We acquired 2 hectors of land, I would like a company that has an idea of what it takes to have a digital hub that showcases technology gadgets and run hackathons for skills training.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

TechWomen will provide an opportunity for high level networking within technology experts around the world. my goal is to gain better insight on technology broadly, understand different gadgets learn skills that we can teach to rural schools and communities. Being part of Techwomen will add to my personal portfolio and well as our company portfolio therefore making me a subject matter expect on facilitating technology skills in rural communities especially for rural development initiatives. This experience will equip me with first world methodologies and a strategic insight into how world class organizations create, develop, implement and manage their technology programs.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

Being part of Techwomen will give greater value to our organization on my return and greater understanding of the type of resources needed in order to run our tech training program. Having the professional mentorship experience will allow me to network with mentors within an American organization enabling me to call upon experts and industry leaders for advice. Not only will this opportunity transfer skills both ways it will also enhance a better understanding of rural development and how we all contribute to it on a global level.
