As a structural designer engineer. I have a good experience with structural 3D modelling ,analysis and design of reinforced concrete structures and earthquake resistant structures according to ACI code. I'm also good in preparing all structural shop drawings for every project. I have good proficiency in different engineering software. So I'm sure, with this experience, I will help the host company in the analysis and design process of it's projects. I can share my experience with it's civil engineers and architects and learn from each other. Make site visits to make sure the design is safe.

It also makes sure that buildings are designed safely for the use of the clients. The company must have architects and civil- structural engineers in order to learn from them and improve my career. I'd also like to be in a company which allows me to have site visits to it's projects in order to see how the construction process is going.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

The techwomen mentorship will help me extend my knowledge and develop my skills in civil engineering. It will help me improve my project management strategies, communication and leadership skills. It will help me learn more about the techniques that are used in the construction sector in the U.S. It will also help me in making decisions. This mentorship will be a turning point in my career. Also, this mentorship will help me learn more about the American culture and social life there.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will share this great experience with my colleagues and other people in my home country especially with women. I will strive to inspire and raise the confidence of our Palestinian girls where I will boost their confidence, by sharing with them what I will achieve during the program so they can see me as a relatable role model who succeeded in the engineering field. I intend to make a series of events and workshops to encourage women to pursue careers in the engineering world, believe in themselves, create work-life balance and to always remain open minded to new possibilities.
