The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn about new developments in the medical and healthcare field and their applications, especially in radiology and diagnostic imaging.
  2. Develop skills in network management systems and how to apply them in healthcare facilities.
  3. Expand my professional and social network and improve my leadership, mentorship and education skills.

Ideal Company Type

The ideal company for my mentorship would be one that is involved in the developing of healthcare technologies, especially in the field of radiology and diagnostic imaging, or working on management systems for clinics and hospitals. The first is so I can see, learn and be informed about up to date, state of the art medical technologies and their applications. The second is to help me develop the management system of my department in the hospital at my current job and later on if I realise my dream of opening my own clinic.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Hard-working
  2. Team player
  3. Adaptable

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

By being exposed to advanced technologies and modern management systems, I am sure that my vision of patient care and healthcare management will drastically change. Thus impacting my career in thinking of how to apply and introduce these developments and technologies into my country either in the public sector or the private one, whichever path I choose to continue in. I will also be learning new ideas and solutions from my mentors and how to apply these ideas to make them a reality.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will do my best to apply all the technical knowledge acquired during the program to develop the management system of my department. I will also use the mentorship and leadership skills that I will surely gain during the program in managing work teams of my department in a more efficient way and to better guide, influence and lead the young trainees on my staff focusing on the female gender who are in much need of a role model and example in this corner of the world.
