The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Meet high-leveldevelopers and share experiences
  2. Get advice and recommendations on building my own road map as an software engineer
  3. Learn how software development processes are structured in different companies and gain exposure to cloud technologies

Ideal Company Type

An ideal company is a company that cares about its employees and always supports their professional growth. Personally, I prefer working together in a team. Therefore, the environment of the team is very important for me. Team discussions, helping each other and working together are very interesting and productive aspects of software development. Teamwork helps me to develop my soft skills and I get energy from people around me when I feel tired or bored. I prefer teams of size up to 10-12 people, this makes it easier to manage, follow project phases and communicate with each other.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I believe that this program will have a big impact on my career and professional path. It will give me a chance to find more possible solutions and choose the most appropriate one while developing high-volume systems. I'm interested in learning more about cloud technologies and hope to learn from experts in this field. Also, my leadership and time management skills will be improved. By visiting companies and meeting a lot of developers and other people in the IT-sphere in California I will get incredible experience and realize new possibilities.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the Techwomen program I will write a blog post about my experience in the program. I will also implement new knowledge in real projects. I am currently working as a back-end developer (developing APIs and integrating systems with other systems) and working on professional self-development, learning tools and programming languages. In the future, when I have a team of developers to manage and lead, I will need the skills that I hope to gain during the program, including leadership skills, working with talented people from different countries, having the opportunity to see the development processes of different projects and seeing how team meetings are organized. In the near future, I am planning to strengthen my engineering skills and to become an expert in my sphere. In the long-term, I plan to create a start-up. I also plan to share my experience with my colleagues, students and friends. I will do my best to be in contact with the program participants so that we can share experiences.
