What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

The TechWomen mentorship will help me to sharpen my skills as a software developer and create better solutions in technology. I will also gain professional mentors who are passionate in their careers, who can mentor me to achieve my career goals in technology. Having been a professional development director at Pwani Teknowgalz and in tech business, I will share my experiences and harness the advice and mentorship to grow professionally. I will return home better equipped to empower young women and girls in my local community.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will leverage on the networks of fellow TechWomen alumnae and mentors to mentor girls in technology and to acquire best practices in fundraising in order to scale the impact of Pwani Teknowgalz to other girls and young women in marginalized communities in Mombasa. I aim to assist with incubating technology solutions developed by the girls and young women we train and mentor at Pwani Teknowgalz so that their solutions can reach the market. I am confident that with the networks and fellow alumnae, I will be able to support these ideas.
