What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?

As I am from a different environment and with my unique experience, I can share solutions and ask questions about things that differ or are taken for granted. I can give a view from some other point that could expand borders and enrich ideas.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Find a secret of running a successful startup project including promotion, pitching, differences in project management of startups and enterprises.
  2. Learn new trends, solutions in healthcare, impact of changes in the world like pandemic or war on healthcare IT and overcoming challenges in building digital healthcare.
  3. Learn changes in project management approaches, including tools of managing a project with teams from different time zones, work habits, risks of that kind cooperation.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

As I am interested in two areas (healthcare and startup in education) my ideal company is one that covers both of them. If there is a company like that it means a big number of staff. As we are time-limited and one of my focuses is project management, it would be really great to work with a PMs in an atmosphere where people demonstrate themselves as a team. With regard to my learning objectives it would be striking to work in a team with members who are remote (geographically spread e.g.) and/or not tied to the office.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Engaged
  2. Responsible
  3. Curious

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Imagine the whole IT society of Kazakhstan as a human body. Women represent only 5 percent of it and will be like two hands. In addition, women get 25% less salary than males. Being an IT-woman is full of challenges. Every word and opinion should be proved as stereotype makes everyone believe females are not strong in STEM. I made a lot of effort to get where I am today. I keep my knowledge up to date. Mentorship will increase my competitiveness and inspire other women to dive in IT and be brave in mostly male area.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

As I am a co-founder of Ulys.tech Education Development Public Fund that aims a training in IT for Kazakhstani girls and women I will have more ideas and knowledge to start our training program in the best way. I am also a member of a society of IT women in Kazakhstan where I can mentor others. And one more thing that inspires me is making a contribution to development of an area that I am desperately in love and engaged in. That is IT in healthcare.
