Hina Raza

What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen mentorship?

My most valuable contribution to the TechWomen mentorship will be my expertise in coding education and program development. I bring strong skills in curriculum design, establishing industry connections, and creating engaging, personalized learning environments. I can teach effective strategies for integrating STEM education into programs and inspire colleagues with my passion for empowering learners. Additionally, I offer insights into time management and achieving work-life balance, which are valuable for mentor and colleagues alike. Moreover, I bring entrepreneurial skills gained from founding and managing WEEPRO CODERS, strategic planning, and innovative problem-solving, which can benefit the mentorship and contribute to its success.

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. How Coding schools works In USA
  2. Leadership in STEM Education Initiatives
  3. Effective curriculum design for personalized coding education

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry
  • Gets me involved in day-to-day activities of the mentor and partnering company.

Ideal Company Type

My ideal mentor match would be in a mid-sized educational technology organization focused on gamified and quiz-based learning, emphasizing the latest technology trends and personalized learning plans. The company should prioritize creativity, collaboration, continuous learning, resilience, and problem-solving, and aim to create real impact and change lives. Ideally, the mentor would have extensive experience in curriculum design for coding education and leadership in STEM initiatives. A background in coding education would be a plus. Their leadership style would be supportive, inspiring, and dedicated to fostering growth, making learners independent doers, and achieving excellence in educational programs.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Dedicated
  2. Resilient
  3. Problem-solver

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I anticipate that collaborating with a U.S.-based mentor will significantly enrich my career by providing invaluable insights into advanced coding methodologies, industry best practices, and emerging technologies. This collaboration will expand my professional network, open doors to new opportunities in the global tech ecosystem, and enhance my leadership skills. By integrating these learnings into my work at WEEPRO CODERS and beyond, I aim to accelerate innovation, elevate educational standards, and empower more young learners in Pakistan with essential coding skills, thereby making a lasting impact on both my career trajectory and the local tech education landscape.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After participating in the TechWomen program, I will leverage my experience to empower girls staying at home in rural areas of Pakistan by introducing remote learning options through my coding school. Inspired by innovative setups observed in the USA, I aim to expand access to STEM education, enabling these girls to develop essential coding skills from the comfort of their homes. By leveraging technology and implementing scalable remote learning solutions, I seek to bridge educational gaps, empower young girls with valuable skills, and contribute to their future success in the digital world.
