Ideal Company Type
My ideal company is where I can realize more of my potential and learn about medical diagnostics, food production, setting up a charity trust fund for the medically disabled (especially for children with Down Syndrome and cerebral palsy) and/or about professional leadership, management and sustaining a business empire.
What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
For my professional goals to be sustainable and achievable and to create the envisioned impact needed by my society, I need to be empowered, adequately trained and connected with the right network of people who have a similar vision. A TechWomen mentorship will serve as the platform that will help me transform my dreams – seeing women taking the lead in positively influencing change in whatever facet of life they find themselves – into reality. It will be the best opportunity to learn from other people, and women specifically, on how they have overcome challenges in their societies.
What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?
I am a creative thinker and a fast learner. I am very passionate and keen about finding solutions and creating a positive influence wherever I am. I will share my ideas and culture with my host company and learn about sustaining a positive work culture.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
I intend to start my own mentorship society, targeting young girls at an early age within my community, together with other professional ladies within the community so we can act as big sisters and mentors to these girls. Disabled kids in our communities are mostly poor and highly disadvantaged, so upon return, I intend on ensuring they are adequately cared for in our communities. Finally, knowledge and experiences gathered will be adequately used upon return to bring about the desired change I have so passionately wanted to effect in my country.
