What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

My mentorship will give my career a boost by increasing my visibility on a global level, enlarge my network of professionals working in developmental projects, and allow me to explore post-doctoral opportunities. Acquiring knowledge on how small businesses thrive in competitive markets will empower me to confidently set up my own agricultural enterprise.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

My participation will provide the competence needed to train staff, develop new laboratory protocols and effectively run the laboratory using the technical skills which I have learned. The TechWomen experience will enable me to give African women a voice to reclaim their pride and place in society by encouraging girls and women to pursue careers in STEM. I will organize science summer camps for students and conduct outreach in rural areas to create awareness of STEM fields and encourage participation. TechWomen alumni will form part of my network to provide mentorship, connection to opportunities and encourage STEM retention.
