The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Business planning: Learn how to translate an innovative project into a successful startup (market study, business model, final product conception)
  2. Entrepreneurship: Immerse into a technical and managerial ecosystem that shall inspire me for my startup project and help me grow my network and connect with potential collaborators in the silicon valley. I would also like to learn how to develop and deploy an AI-based eHealth solution (requirements in terms of hardware, cloud solutions, most suitable technologies for the application development, etc).
  3. Technical: Implement an artificial intelligence tool

Ideal Company Type

The ideal company for me would be focused on developing AI solutions accessible through simple devices (tablets, phones) and deployable in low-resources settings. The medical field (eHealth/mHealth) is preferable but not mandatory. The company may be of big or medium size, multicultural, with a growth mindset.

Additional Technical Skills

Python, R, scientific writing

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Assertive
  2. Enthusiast
  3. Multi-tasking

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

I expect to gain valuable insights on business management and enterprise culture during my stay in the host organisation. I also seek to learn how are AI technologies are implemented in a highly innovative environment.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I intend to put my TechWomen experience and my previous experience in mentoring women scientists to initiate a mentoring program in my institution with the help of other colleagues. The idea is to build a community-based mentoring framework that aims at empowering young researcher since their early years in the STEM fields.
