What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?
I hope to learn more about DevOps and how to better manage my team. I want to help my team perform better and work smarter. I would love for the team I currently lead to become a source of new, innovative solutions in the field of telecom management. My hope is that I learn as much as possible from my host company regarding culture, systems, tools, practices and methodologies. I would love to see how global companies work and how they balance running a business with corporate social responsibilities.
What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?
I love problem solving and using technology to do so. I have started and been a part of many technical teams, and I will share my ideas and experience with my host company. I am eager to learn and willing to share information. I enjoy engaging in brainstorming and ideas sessions. I have a background in software development and telecommunications, and all of my previous positions have required great teamwork.
After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?
My first action will be to teach/mentor as many young women as I can within my current company and beyond. I am certain that I will learn a great deal, and the best thing to do with knowledge is to share it. I want to effect change in my industry, first by implementing, testing and reviewing what was learned and then by sharing via papers, articles and conferences. My greatest hope is to help girls in lower-income areas to learn about technology and software development.
