What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

The TechWomen program will provide me with essential skills to enhance my career technically and otherwise. I believe that having an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a Silicon Valley company is a great way to learn how to create an environment that is conducive to creativity back at home. Additionally, the technical skills and knowledge I gain will accelerate my professional growth and help me hone my AI expertise. Lastly, it will be an invaluable opportunity to learn from experts in my field of interest and expand my professional network.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

My goal is to ensure that more African women are actively building state-of-the-art AI products and leading ground-breaking research. I will leverage my TechWomen knowledge, experience and network to support more women’s career success in AI engineering and business. I will also collaborate with existing communities to utilize the vast knowledge and learning resources from Silicon Valley as practical sessions during my speaking engagements and trainings back home. In addition, I will organize monthly meetups with girls where we will discuss challenges in Africa and how we can address them through technology.
