What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?

The main impact I can have on my host company stems from my diverse, well-rounded background: my knowledge is in more than one field (i.e., math, finance, technology and education) and my cultural background (i.e., being Arab, Jordanian, Muslim and a woman).

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Expand my understanding of machine learning applications in finance
  2. Gain expertise in online teaching and developing accessible edtech solutions
  3. Develop expertise in project management, data insight, product marketing, communication strategies

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Identify a short-term project I can work on at the partnering company
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

My ideal company is within the fintech industry or international money transfers, with a focus on new technology methods. I prefer a company with an open culture that allows employees to share their ideas, suggestions and concerns with their employer.
