The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn how to design effective and attractive educational simulations for physics and science education.
  2. Learn how to start and manage an organization dedicated to promoting STEM education.
  3. Learn how to start up an initiative that promotes mobilizing school policies and students attitudes toward environmental health and ecological sustainability of schools.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Have exposure to specialized industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

I would like to take mentorship in an educational institution, preferably a school, that teaches Science or Physics. The teachers in this school use efficient and diverse science teaching techniques that best utilize and enhance 21st-century skills. This school contributes to producing e-learning resources and scientific simulations for middle and high school students. This school is also considered energy efficient, promotes environmental sustainability, and offers improved learning environment for its students.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Flexible
  2. Reliable
  3. Outgoing

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

My mentorship will introduce me to diverse devoted STEM leaders and professionals in the world. This will inspire me to continue my journey in the path that I chose in STEM disciplines. It will help me in creating a network of collaboration among experts in the same field of my interest and introduce me to new methods and applications that I can use and apply when proceeding with my career.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After returning to my home country I will transfer the skills and knowledge to other colleagues. I will try to produce interactive games that support the e-learning experience. Additionally, I will pursue one of my goals of establishing a central environmental club that provokes transforming the current schools in my country into more eco-friendly ones. Moreover, as a school teacher that teaches hundreds of girls every year, I will work on inspiring young girls to realize their own potential in the STEM disciplines.
