What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

TechWomen program will improve my skills, expose me to diverse professional networks, and open up collaboration opportunities. The program will give me the opportunitiy to learn about international standards, strategies and resources that I can use to implement and achieve my professional goals of reducing energy poverty in Nigeria, developing a strong workforce of technically sound renewable energy installers and entrepreneurs across Africa, and mentoring girls and women with the goal of closing the gender gap in the technology industry, especially in the renewable energy space. The program will increase my profile visibility and accelerate my career development.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I will use the knowledge, experience and new networks to seek collaborations with the TechWomen community; organize enlightenment programs for women in STEM fields that will showcase what women worldwide are doing in the technological industry in order to encourage up and coming women and girls in tech that they too can be achievers and that being a woman does not limit them. I will improve my initiative of bridging the gender gap in the renewable energy industry by implementing new techniques and ideas gained through participating in the TechWomen program.
