The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Acquire hands-on experience in project management tools.
  2. Expand my professional network and gain contacts who can support my goal of becoming an outstanding consultant in water treatment who can make a local and global impact.
  3. How to build a good business foundation, and develop a business model.

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Present my current work to professionals in my industry

Ideal Company Type

My aim is to work in a multinational company that is a pioneer in the world of time management, decision making, project planning, and project management with a significant focus on business best practices, entrepreneurship, creativity innovation, and safety in the workplace. Or in a company that targets water quality related to the WASH program. I would love to be a part of a globally operating company with many employees from different cultures working together physically and virtually towards a common goal. My ideal company has a flexible environment, and value, motivate and rewards its employees.

Additional Technical Skills

Knowledge in building information modeling and innovation diffusion.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  3. Reliable

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

As part of the next generation of Emerging Leaders, TechWomen will cultivate my competencies as both a professional and a trainer by exposing me to diverse professional settings and networks. This will prepare me to establish my company and become a pioneer in what I do. I am willing to be mentored on how to innovate more. Moreover, the exchange of ideas and meaningful discussions will further my interests, increase my collaboration abilities, and will elevate me to another level of learning.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

The TechWomen experience will get me connected to women role models in STEM fields, learning more about their journey and having their support after I get back to Lebanon. This will enable me to act as a facilitator who inspires and mentor more women in STEM. I will benefit from TechWomen's experience to conduct similar training interventions for young girls in my university to polish their technical and entrepreneurial capabilities and inspire them to pursue a STEM career.
