The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Gain knowledge about project management and building a business
  2. Improve my technical and soft skills especially marketing techniques
  3. Enhance my management and leadership skills

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Have exposure to the company culture
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Identify workshops or certificate programs to further my learning after the program has ended
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Expand on a project that I’m working on in my current role at home

Ideal Company Type

The ideal company for me would be a large company with a modern way of working. This is a company that developed its own way of problem solving and empowering innovators, and is aware of the vast business, environmental, and societal challenges. The focus would preferably be in digital media, so I can learn new project management techniques and the right way to make my future company profitable and visible to customers.

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

What this mentorship could offer me would be a way to channel all my resources into finishing the project on which I am working. I am eager to learn new ways of doing things, new ways of looking at the world, and I have always hoped to find guidance from someone who has completed projects before and knows how hard it is to stick to one idea when you feel like every idea is important. It might help me evolve and see the bigger picture in a different way.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

After the TechWomen experience, I would love to start a journey sharing what I have learned with young architects and engineers, by the means of my own business or as a motivational speaker in various places such as universities in Algeria that often bring back speakers who have done programs for conferences. I love to share, and I have a great ease to speak in front of a large audience as I used to be a theatre actress. I would love to inspire other people, especially women, and make them believe that we all have an opportunity to make change and to evolve.
