What will be your most valuable contribution to your TechWomen host company?

I think that my contribution will be about sharing my professional experience with the company's team. I can potentially work with them on a new project which can be modular and adapted to African countries and enter new markets. I have always tackled challenges by thinking outside the box, and I think that as a new, external eye on the company, I might be able to provide the spark to create a new service or generate a new product,

The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn more about green materials and new technologies in construction
  2. Expand my professional network with women working in green technologies
  3. Learn more about solar and wind energy, for application in my province

Mentorship Characteristic

  • Visit an office or attend a site-visit
  • Participate in a skills-building course, either provided by my mentor’s company or identify a free resource online
  • Focus on leadership skills building
  • Focus on technical skills building
  • Have exposure to basic industry techniques

Ideal Company Type

The ideal company for my mentorship specializes in green construction, materials and technologies; renewable energy and minimizing environmental impact. I would like to meet professionals and experts in architecture, engineering and construction to learn from their experience and build my network.

  • ArchiCAD
  • Lumion

Additional Technical Skills

2D design and 3D modeling, Adobe Photoshop

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Curious
  2. Ambitious
  3. Persistent

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

My primary goal is to design eco-friendly projects. Currently, I work on many tourism projects in the first ecologic village in Morocco, Sidi Kaouki, a small coastal community in my province, Essaouira. Learning during my mentorship about sustainable materials, green technologies and renewable energy will help me to accomplish this mission perfectly.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

TechWomen mentorship will boost my experience and extend my skills in the field of green technologies, thereby helping me preserve the environment when I design or build eco-friendly projects. I plan to share my new knowledge through this experience, with my professional community, students and interns, encouraging them to work and study in STEM fields.
