The Top Three Things I Would Like to Learn or Experience During my Mentorship

  1. Learn how tech giants in Silicon Valley innovate, design and implement solutions in cybersecurity through experiencing their corporate culture and learning their business practices.
  2. Develop strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills to be a leader, an innovator and an inspiration for my community.
  3. Build and extend my professional network and collaborations toward a goal of developing mutually beneficial partnerships.

What are three adjectives that best describe you in the work place?

  1. Passionate
  2. Perfectionist
  3. Assertive

What impact will your mentorship have on your career and professional path?

Through the TechWomen program experience I will be able to become a leader and innovator in cybersecurity, and conduct my research according to industry needs and practices. I will build a strong professional network in Silicon Valley with whom I can engage on different initiatives in the future. My experiences in Silicon Valley will allow me to participate in other leading tech-based initiatives, which will open new opportunities in my career. Through developing my business skills and practices by experiencing corporate culture of tech companies, I will be able to take further steps in entrepreneurship and launch my own startup.

After participating in the TechWomen program, how will you leverage your mentorship experience to make an impact in your home country?

I can become an agent of change to lead, inspire and mentor girls to choose STEM and pursue their careers in cybersecurity. I will pass along my TechWomen learnings and experiences with the women in my community. I will promote industry collaborations between my country and the tech giants. I will share best practices I learn in Silicon Valley among my peers, students and the tech community in Pakistan. I will work not only to improve the development of solutions in Pakistan, but also to bridge the gap between local and international tech industries and help increase exports.
